A little changed since you found me.
I know it shows in
My personality,
In my soul and in my mind.
Seen a little too much,
Felt a little too deep,
And I don't want to go on.
I want to go back and
Give myself a little of what
I've lost and I'll never get it back.
I know you think of me and
You think how I've changed and
You wish you coukd have me as I used to be.
There's not much left of that,
It hurts a lot sometimes,
But I think I'll bear the pain.
I walk this life alone,
And I know that you know it,
And I know you'd like to be there for me.
I never asked a thing from you,
You gave it willingly,
And it hurts to think I couldn't do the same.
I'm a little older now and
I'm a little wiser now and
When you're gone I know I'll be missing you.
But wherever you go without me,
Where I can't follow you,
Don't forget me where everything else is lost.
All I ask ofyou is
You l"emember what I used to be.
And if you have to pretend I'm there,
That's okay with me.
